Prepare media and companion files
A predictable folder makes a task easier to inspect. Follow the file conventions configured in your installed VidiBot release and platform options.
Keep each video’s assets together
A common arrangement places a video and any same-name companion files in the same task folder. Depending on platform and settings, these may include a .txt description, image, or subtitle file.
Use clear names
Use stable filenames without ambiguous duplicate extensions. Confirm that the file name matches the video base name when the configured workflow expects same-name companions.
Treat optional assets as optional
Titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and subtitles are not required for every platform or task. Check the platform form and the current task configuration before adding them.
Check before starting
Open the folder, verify each file plays or opens, confirm there are no unintended duplicates, and make sure the selected task points to the right directory. Keep a copy of original assets until the result is verified.
The exact companion-file rules vary by platform and task. Verify with a small test before preparing a large batch.
